Aquatics Schedule

Water Aerobics
This class is an aerobic workout complete with warm up, a 20 minute aerobic routine and cool down in the water, there is less chance of strained muscles.  Also, as with the AFAP and Water Aerobics classes, all exercises are done in the shallow end of the pool - you don't even get your hair wet if you don't want to!  (Monthly $30 adults, $25 seniors)

Arthritis Water Exercise
This program is designed specifically for those people who may have arthritis or other physical limitations.  It is also a good course to use for physical rehabilitation after surgery (with doctor's permission).  Instructors are trained by the Arthritis Foundation in exercise designed to increase joint mobility, increase muscle tone and flexibility.  This class is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00am-11:45am.  Monthly $30 adults, $25 seniors.

We offer all Levels of swim lessons through the American Red Cross.  Call for a schedule of times, or to register.  Classes include:

Preschool:  Six  Months to 5 years

Parent-tot Ages 6 months to 3 years with  their parent or guardian.  Monday/Wednesday 9:00 to 9:30 am

Home School Swimming Lessons
The YWCA will provide swimming lessons taught by Red Cross Certified Instructors for your Physical Education curriculum for Home School families.  Along with this we have open family time for families who want to enjoy the exercises and afternoon activities with their children.

Healthier New You Support Group:
This is a group open to members who are looking to support one another in regards to weight loss. It is held on Wednesday's at 9:15 for 30 minutes.

Solid Rock Land Rubber Band Class

We do a variety of exercises in chairs, standing and sitting.  Rubber bands are used for flexibility and joint mobility and light weights are used for muscle tone and endurance.  We have music to go along with your movements.  This class is highly recommended for people with arthritis, being overweight, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, bursitis and multiple sclerosis.

Swim Team 

Developmental Practice and Swim Team 

Developmental Team
The Developmental Team is offered for ages 6 to 14 years.  Participants learn fundamentals of swimming and stroke work, turns, dives and building endurance. Registration is on-going!

Swim Team
The YWCA swim team is offered to children 6 years through 18 years.  Registration is on-going! Come have a successful season with the HPSC / YWCA swim team.  This is a great training opportunity to prepare for summer leagues.
