has provided and continues to provide unique childcare and inspiring
children to become life-long learners for 86 years. We are located
in downtown High Point.

As a non-profit
organization supported by our community we felt that providing drop
off childcare to furniture market attendees and exhibitors would be a great way for
us to share with people from around the world what we are very good
at.
We
currently are accepting children for the next market:
Our furniture market childcare program for the High Point Furniture
Market has been
developed for a limited number of children on a first come
first served bases.

3 years and up $30 per day

A minimum number of children for each day is required.
Sample of our Daily Program:
7:00 am Check-In/Free Play:
Upon arrival parents will check their child/children in with those
who will be working Furniture Market Childcare. The children will
then have a little time to settle in and have free play outside, or
if it is raining free play will be held indoors.
7:30 am House Keeping:
The childcare workers will go over the plans for the day and discuss
with the children the rules of the childcare center. There will also
be a short devotion.
8:00 am Art Quest:
Children will be broken up into groups according to their age to
begin a new craft for the day. Once settling into their groups’
children will have the opportunity to finger paint, make picture
frames, and other various crafts. After they are finished they will
assist in cleaning up.
9:00 am Healthy Snacks:
Children will be able to help prepare snacks (depending on age);
they will also socialize at tables while they are eating. Snacks may
consist of: fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers.
9:30 am Clean Up:
The children will help the childcare workers to clean up from snack
time: they will help put things away, wipe tables and straighten up.
10:00 am Indoor Games/Activities:
Children will be able to participate in indoor games and activities
such as I-spy, board games and other fun games that can be played
inside.
11:00 am Lunch:
Parents will provide their child with a healthy lunch. It can be
microwave able or something that needs to be placed in the
refrigerator.
12:00 pm Movie Time:
Children will watch a Disney movie so they will be able to rest for
a little while after lunch.
1:30 pm Plunge:
Children will be able to take advantage of our heated indoor pool
while they have free swim for an hour. There is always a lifeguard
on duty.
2:30 pm Snack:
Another healthy snack is provided to the children after they get
dried off and changed from swimming. After the snack they will help
clean up.
3:00 pm Down Time:
Children will be able to rest for a half hour. They may read or do a
silent activity if they choose.
3:30 pm Light Snack:
The parents will provide a light snack for their children, after the
snack children will help clean up before they go outside.
4:00 pm Black Top/Playground:
Children will be able to have free play outside. They can
participate in organized outside games or play on the playground.
5:00 pm Indoor Games:
Children may finish a game they started during indoor play or they
make take this time to quietly read a book. They will also be
gathering their belongings before parents arrive to pick them up.
