members. YWCA youth get a chance to explore the
world beyond their communities through our various programs.
MLK "Dream
Big" - Communities in Schools and The YWCA of High
Point has partnered for the MLK "Dream Big "an initiative to
increase literacy and reading materials for the building of the

After School
Care

After School care brings the vision
of the YWCA –the empowerment of women and their families and the
elimination of racism– to our youngest members. Our After School
Care Program is for school-age youth. This program emphasizes
respect for diversity, community involvement, and academics. Our
youth are encouraged to think outside the box and find creative
ways to make a difference.

The YWCA's Summer camp is the only camp in town in which every day
and Every child in the summer camp program enjoys enrichment
activities and gains appreciation of social, racial, and cultural
diversity through exploring our world beyond the High Point
Community. The program is open to children in grades K-6 who also
enjoy:

YWCA
Young Entrepreneurs
A eight week program in which youth
will interact with local business owners and learn the following
components of entrepreneurship : budgeting , marketing ,
selling and branding.
Points of
Light Youth Leadership For Girls
This program is designed to provide
youth with the encouragement, peer networks and leadership skills
necessary for them to make meaningful contributions to their
communities and begin a life-long journey of leadership and
service.
Teen Mom's
This is a Teen Mom program that works with teenage mothers under
the age 18, who are pregnant or parenting for the first time. We
aim at strengthening or establishing individual support systems
and preserving family stability; developing effective parenting
skills; and prevention of substantiated child abuse, neglect, or
dependency reports. Mentors provide services to pregnant and
parenting adolescents which leads to personal self-sufficiency and
economic support for themselves. The Adolescent Parenting
