What is Social Justice?   Join the YWCA, High Point Human Relations Department and High Point University for a discussion. Service. Commitment. Womanhood. What do these three attributes have in common? Women who serve proudly in the military. Women Veterans have a long and proven history of courageously serving our country. Join us for a High Point first as we have a candid conversation about the challenges, the triumphs, and the trade-offs of serving as a woman in the U.S. Military

 


 

“Decorative Doves” with Nancy,
Friday  November 21st, from 10am – 12noon
Begin the holiday season on a joyous note by making a pair of decorative doves that can accent your mantle or table. Great gift for a special person in your life, too!   Last day to sign up: November 19th 

 “Lanterns”, From 5-7pm Monday, December  1st & 8th
 Students will make a lantern that will make your home feel nice and warm from the glow. Also can turn it into a wax burner.  Constructed either with wheel or hand-building skills. Last day to sign up: November 28th

“Angel Ornaments” with Nancy, Saturday,  December 6th from 10am – 12noon
These little angels will add charm to your tree and delight anyone you give one to! Last day to sign up: December 3rd

Thriving Thursday's Lunch & Learn topic:  "Brain injuries the invisible war wound."  November 20, 2014

 During the month of November we honor our veterans for their service.  Please bring a bag lunch and  join us for our Thriving Thursday's Lunch & Learn topic:  "Brain injuries the invisible war wound."  This is an important discussion about Traumatic Brain Injury.  FREE and OPEN to the public.  Presented by the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina.  12noon - 1pm.  Please call (336) 882-4126 to register for this event.
